Denny Dobry, proprietor of the 221B Baker Street sitting room re-creation in Reading, Pennsylvania, will be hosting a Book Fair and Open House on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Thousands of books will be available for purchase, including numerous editions of the Canon, pastiches, parodies, non-Sherlockian works by Arthur Conan Doyle, crime and British history reference work, selections from other mystery writers (Christie, Queen, Sayers, Starrett, and more), and an extensive range of Christopher Morley and P. G. Wodehouse titles. In addition, BSI Press publications will be available for sale. Objects such as statues, glassware, mugs, games, jigsaw puzzles, and posters will also be available.
Funds from these purchases will go to support BSI Trust activities.
This event will also include an open house, where visitors can experience Denny's meticulous re-creation of the sitting room at 221B.

Reading is located 100 miles from Manhattan, 80 miles from Baltimore, and 40 miles from Philadelphia.
The hours of this event will be from 10:00am until everyone is gone. Lunch will be provided. Denny can also organize housing for out-of-town visitors who wish to stay over on Friday and/or Saturday nights. Denny is holding this event in accordance with Pennsylvania's current pandemic mitigation measures.
