Costa has authored numerous articles on Sherlockian bibliography.  In 2005 he won the Morley-Montgomery Award for the best BSJ article of the year. Robert Katz and John Bergquist announced BSI Press Editors awards (or “Eddies”) to Harrison “Terry” Hunt and Linda Hunt for <a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/2019/11/11/aboriginals/">“Aboriginals”</a>; Candace J. Lewis and Ira B. Matetsky for <a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/2019/12/26/upon-the-turf/">Upon the Turf</a>; to Marino Alvarez and Tim Greer for <a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/2019/12/28/education-never-ends/">Education Never Ends</a>; and to Constantine Rossakis and Dan Stashower for T<a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/2019/12/30/worst-man-in-london/">he Worst Man in London</a>.Ross Davies read the Constitution and Buy-Laws. Shannon Carlisle toasted Mrs. Hudson. Les Klinger toasted Mycroft Holmes. Dana S. Richards toasted Watson’s second wife. Barbara Rusch toasted Sherlock Holmes. Bruce R. Parker honored an Old Irregular, Ted Schulz. Jenn Eaker led the reading of the Musgrave Ritual.Candace Lewis delivered an erudite presentation on artist Horace Vernet in the year 1820 (building upon Holmes’ reference in “The Adventure of the Greek Interpreter”). Rebecca Romney offered a wide-ranging examination of the concept of 20/20 vision while noting the 133rd anniversary of the publication of Beeton’s Christmas Annual. Michael Berdan surveyed the impact of the Prohibition ban, whose centennial (16 January 1920) was imminent.Henry Boote, BSI Musical Director, did his usual yeoman’s work by preparing an extremely clever medley celebrating Michael Whelan’s tenure as Wiggins. He also accompanied Donny Zaldin’s musical quiz.Marsha Pollak, taking over from Francine Kitts, led the assembled to “Stand with me here upon the terrace” to honor members who had passed during the previous year.Michael Whelan announced his final round of investitures as Wiggins to nine new Irregulars. Andy Fusco received the Two-Shilling Award. Whelan than concluded the evening by handing over the gavel—in all senses of the word—to Michael Kean. Almost 350 actors have played Sherlock Holmes on the screen since the silent film era. Each actor brings his (and sometimes her) unique interpretation to the role. But it's not only the actors that account for the differences in the representation of the Master over the decades of his screen existence. Nelda Richards was honored as The Woman. Then, Peter Blau was surprised by a Festschrift in honor of the 60th anniversary of his investiture. Charles Prepolec toasted Mrs. Hudson. Bonnie MacBird toasted Mycroft Holmes. Candace Lewis toasted Watson's second wife. Bill Mason toasted the Master, Sherlock Holmes.  Dayna Nuhn led the reading of the Musgrave Ritual.  Susan Rice paid tribute to two Old Irregulars, Clifton Andrew and Lisa McGaw.  Robert Katz read the Constitution and Buy-Laws. Katz and John Bergquist presented “Eddies” to a host of talented editors who produced BSI Press titles: Will Walsh and Donny Zaldin for <a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/2018/12/28/canon-law/">Canon Law</a>; Glen Miranker for <a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/2018/12/30/deadly-harpoon/">Deadly Harpoon</a>, and Les Klinger for <a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/2018/12/26/peter-blau/">Peter E. Blau: A Festschrift</a>.The evening saw a host of informed presentations: Andrew Fusco presented on police detectives. Jenn Eaker presented on dogs in the Canon. Emily Miranker opined on the original Baker Street Irregulars. Nick Martorelli presented on Irene Adler. Francine Kitts led the assembled to “"Stand with me here upon the terrace” to honor members who had passed during the previous year.Nine Irregulars received their Shilling. Before the evening concluded with the resonant spectacle of Ray Betzner reading from a typescript owned by Vincent Starrett of Starrett’s “221B,” Michael Whelan announced a forthcoming leadership transition. In 2020, Michael Kean will succeed him as Wiggins. G. Wodehouse titles. In addition, BSI Press publications will be available for sale. Michael J. Quigley toasted the long-suffering Mrs. Hudson. Tamar Zeffren offered the toast to Mycroft Holmes.  Donny Zaldin honored Watson's second wife. Richard Kitts toasted the guest of honor, Sherlock Holmes.  Curtis Armstrong led the responsive reading of the Musgrave Ritual.  Jerry Margolin paid tribute to an Old Irregular, Norman Nolan.  Hartley Nathan read the Constitution and Buy-Laws.Guests were then treated to “intriguing” presentations attesting to the wide range of subject mastery evident among the assembled Irregulars. Ross Davies, accompanied by visual aids, demonstrated the Allies’ stratagems for circulating their literature undetected in gift boxes. Maria Fleischhack lectured on Germans in the Canon and methods of disguise. Will Walsh plumbed the depths of submarine warfare. Francine Kitts led the assembled to “Stand with me here upon the terrace” to honor Irregulars who had passed during the previous year.Ten Irregulars then received their Shilling. John Linsenmeyer, former Baker Street Journal editor, was honored with the Two-Shilling Award. The evening concluded with the traditional recital of Vincent Starrett’s “221B.”Attendees had a near-immediate opportunity to recap the previous evening’s events, as well as the preceding 12 months, at Saturday’s Cocktail Reception at the Yale Club.
