Attendees at the celebration of Sherlock Holmes’s 123rd birthday enjoyed not only “the excellent roast-beef dinner,” but, even more importantly, the enduring “reunions with Irregulars from all over the country.” Despite inclement weather, “[n]one of [the] rites and ceremonies was omitted.” Amy (Mrs. Owen P.)
